If you're reading this within the week it was posted, then you are very much aware of the horrible virus spreading through the entirety of the globe right now. I'm also going to assume it's affecting you, to some extent. Whether that's physically, emotionally; minimally or immensely, we're all being affected by this phenomenon to some extent. And I say that, not to discourage you, or to expand this pain, but to remind you that we are all within this feeling together. You are never, ever alone. Even though it may feel as you are in this moment, I promise you, you aren't. And it is so incredibly human to be feeling discouraged by this, even if you're not affected by it directly. It's been tugging downwards on my spirit deeply the past few days, as I know it's doing to so many souls. When an unexpected, extremely difficult thing such as this occurs, we have two options. One being: allowing this to overcome our peace, faith and optimism, and slowly develop into a little ball of fear. Option 2 is this: we give space for this feeling of fear, sadness, frustration, confusion. And then we turn to faith. We cling onto that hope that remains inside of ourselves. We. Keep. Going.
I'm not urging you to deny that this virus is happening, or that it's scary. It is. I'm urging you to not allow this to destroy your peace. To not allow this to drain and strip away any more of your energy than it already has. We cannot control certain things from occurring. Some things happen, some bad, confusing, frightening things happen. However you are in control of more than you realize. I've reiterated that your mind is one powerful a** tool many times on this blog, and I'm going to do it again. All in bold and underlined, just for emphasis. Your mind is more powerful than you realize. We aren't in control of how external situations unfold, but we are in control of our perspective, our reaction, our stance. Joy is always an option. Peace is always an option. Optimism is always an option. Faith. Love. These are all options, just as much as fear, pessimism, and hatred are. Please choose wisely.

Chaos ignites when we tap into fear, into pessimism, into hatred. Unison, clarity and peace ignite when we choose joy. When we choose love over fear.

I'm rooting for you. Always.
